New Blog

I haven't been over here in forever (actually forgot about the blog...and I think it's too late to transfer my new stuff...)

ANYWAY---I've been busy!  I'm now teaching English in Daejeon, South Korea, and THIS is my story.

Next Up...

So, I found this other blog online, and I'm pretty much in love with some of her recipes, and I'd like to be able to try out as many for myself as I can.  And I'll post pics and recipes and that sort of thing here on the blog.  I'm actually pretty anxious to get started, but I just got home from work and it's around 11:30pm.  So..looks like that's not happening quite yet :)

In my [stomach's] most immediate future is this little gem:
Recipe and Other Blog
So excited to give these a go! :-D  They're Irish Car Bomb Cupcakes.  With real alcohol included.  Not that I'm an alcoholic or anything, but if it has alcohol in the name, it should have alcohol actually in the product, in my opinion.  Plus, it's fun :-D

That's all for tonight.  The next update should include my attempt at that cute little cupcake.

Oh, and also, when I attempt that cupcake, I'll also be using frosting tips for the first time.  Exciting!

Oh hi! :)

This is my first-ever blog, and I decided that I wanted to start one up basically as a place to house all my baking projects.  I've loved to bake for as long as I can remember, and I'm working on increasing my skill and taking on new challenges.
I'd really like to be able to get to the point where I can create my own recipes, but for now, I'll just stick with re-creating those that others have made.  :)

Samples of what I've done so far:

Regular Funfetti cupcakes--not really challenging, but super tasty!

Banana Bread!--Second Attempt--Both turned out great.  A bit dark on the edges, but yummy nonetheless :)

Strawberry cake with chocolate frosting and fresh-cut strawberries

Same as above, but in cupcake form :)

Cinnamon Roll Bake (From Pillsbury)...A-mazing!! :-D  best fresh from the oven.

Pumpkin Spice Cakes.   Probably one of the best recipes I've ever found online.  Seriously.

Well, off to work now, but in the next post, I plan on including a Top 10 or 20 list of things I'd like to create.
